Rhea Silvia was a vestal virgin who, it is alleged, was raped by Mars, the God of War. This act resulted in the birth of twin brothers, Romulus and Remus. The twins, born of noble blood – Rhea’s grandfather was ruler at the time – were to be drowned in the Tiber river by order of Rhea’s uncle to prevent potential future challenges to the throne by the twins.
Zeus needs no introduction, as the Greek mythological god of the sky his name and tales are known throughout the world. Born from Cronus his father and Rhea his mother Zeus was the sixth son of the two. After Cronus ate his first five children Rhea gathered the strength to save her next child which was Zeus. Rhea tricked Cronus in to eating a stone by rapping it up in a swaddle of cloths instead of her new born; she sent her child to the island of Crete to Mt. Dikte where he was raised by a goatee. As Zeus matured to a young adult he became strong and made his father Cronus throw his siblings up. His five sibling concluded of Demeter, Hestia, Hera, Hades, and Poseidon. The siblings shared rule of the world; the most known gods are Zeus whom made himself ruler of the sky, Poseidon who was given the sea and Hades was handed the Underworld. As the sky god Zeus acquired powers, responsibilities, and other perks; powers that included his weapons the lightning bolt, and the power to morph into man and animal, his reasonability to look over man enabled him to observe people in time of war and in their most personal of times. As a sky god Zeus was expected enrich the mortal chain; that lead him to have many loves and affairs.
Everyone has heard of Zeus he was the mightiest of all the Greek gods, yet many do not know about the first gods. Many people know the story of Zeus and his life how he had many powerful children, and not only that but how they were each born and how they each had their own special power. Although, Zeus was a wise god the Greeks believed there were greater gods of whom had ruled before the mighty Zeus. There are four main Gods who were born first, and these gods had many conflicts that related to conflicts of humans, yet these gods were created by a god whom Greeks were not very clear how he popped up which had its own problems.
They are widely known for their gods and goddesses. The Olympian gods were the main gods of Ancient Greece. After overthrowing their ancestors, the Titans, the Olympian gods became the rulers of the World (Cosmos), representing the civilization of the world. To the common Greeks, they envisioned their gods as a family of immortals who intervened in the lives of human beings. Unlike Mesopotamia and Egypt, Greece made their gods out to be more human like than animal like. These gods were immortal, but took on many characteristics of the humans who worshipped them. The gods lived atop a mountain in Northern Greece called Mount Olympus. Mount Olympus was home to many of the gods, each had there own palace atop the mountain. Zeus sat upon the summit of the mountain while the other gods were surrounding him in their own palaces. Gods would take sides in human combat, seduce mortal woman, and meddle in the lives of those they felt were worthy of their attention. One of the most known gods, Zeus, was the supreme god in Ancient Greece, the father of the Olympian gods and the ruler of all mankind. He and his wife Hera were exalted by the Greek Pantheon as the ruling deities of Greece. In a epic poem called Theogony or The Birth of the Gods, it recounts the history, genealogy of the god, how they came to be and how they established permanent control over the Cosmos. In the poem it says that, “Verily at the first Chaos came to be, but next wide-bosomed Earth, the ever-sure foundations of all the deathless ones who hold the peaks of snowy Olympus, and dim Tartarus in the depth of the wide-pathed Earth, and Eros (Love), fairest among the deathless gods, who unnerves the limbs and overcomes the mind and wise counsels of all gods and all men within
UA’s perceived strengths are in their expansion into new product lines and their use of new technology to improve their products. They also target specific markets. However, according to industry analysts, a weakness could be that they are very dependent on US sales and also depend heavily on a limited number of distributors such as Dick’s Sporting Goods and Sports Authority. Another possible weakness is that the company may be spreading their resources by going after powerful competitors like Nike, which is known to have greater resources to compete in the area of footwear where Nike dominants. As an example the company was unable to woe away Kevin Durant from Nike which could be interpreted by customers that UA is not yet in Nike’s league.
Gods have existed almost since the beginning of mankind, as people had things that they worshiped such as the sun, the moon, and many other things. To me the Greeks had the most unique gods, because they had many gods for many different things such as love, war, etc. The gods were almost like human beings as they interacted in the lives of the people they watched over and the people they cherished. The gods were said to have mixed with the humans to make half mortal and half immortal people, blessed with certain powers. Today we all have one god, because it is the way we were brought up, but there are many types of religions such as Christianity, Hinduism, etc. The Greek gods lived among the people on top of a huge mountain called Mt. Olympus. The Romans took over on the gods and gave them different names, but many of them had the same job or duty. There was a king of the gods and his name was Zeus he was god of the sky, and he had a wife and she was called Hera and her duty was to advise her king on the way to run things. Poseidon was a brother to Zeus and was god of the sea and all that lived under it and dared to cross it as he tested many a sailor. Hades another brother of Zeus ruled the underworld or hell. There are many other gods such as Athena, Aphrodite, Hephaetus, Hermes, Helios, etc. The Greeks loved their gods so they would build temples of worship, statues of praise, and many other things to support them. Today the world of Greek gods are portrayed on the motion picture screen in movies, and even in cartoons. Our belief of many of these gods is that they did not exist, but who do you know that lived in that time. Some conclusions are that they could have existed but the people we kno...

Numitor, king of the ancient Italian city of Alba Longa, was deposed by his brother Amulius. Numitor’s daughter, Rhea Silvia, was made a vestal virgin (priestess of the Goddess Vesta & forbidden to marry). Mars, the God of War, fell in love with her and she gave birth to twin sons.” [1] Fearing for his life and his newly captured throne, Amulius had the twins put in a basket and through into the Tiber river. Instead of sinking the basket floated steadily down stream. “The basket came aground at the Grotto Lupercal, under a fig tree called Ruminal, where the twins were found and suckled by a she wolf.”[2] Along with the wolf was Picus, who was turned into a woodpecker by Circe, both sacred to mars. They both feed the kids and kept them live until one day a herdsman stumbled upon the two boys. “The shepard Faustulus found the twins.
