From learning the terrible truth, to leaving people hurt, a young boy leaves home to find the mysterious waiting for him. In the book, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, by Mark Haddon, Haddon presents a young boy whom finds out what he thinks is the unbearable, but can soon realize that it may be the best thing to happen to him. The main thing that caused Christopher to leave home, was the fact that he wanted to find his mother. He wanted to see her since he spent his whole life believing she was dead. Christopher admits that “Mother was a small person who smelt nice.” (Haddon 24), but did not know the truth seeing as how he never knew his mother.
