In other words, music has such a great impact on people’s lives and has for a length of time. It is a way to connect to our feelings, how an individual acts, and thinks. Although music can impact our lives positively, it can also affect us negatively. Music can have a positive impact on our lives. For example, it has been proven to affect someone’s mood and even the way they think. It is a way to escape the stress from school or work. You can let yourself free and let your mind focus on the good in life. Many studies have been done throughout the years as to whether or not music affects your intelligence. Each study had a similar result. Listening to music while studying for a test or working on homework can improve your scores and help you remember the information. There are many songs with violent lyrics, drinking, doing drugs and it can affect the individuals who listen to that type of music. A few years ago, a study was done on the affect of music. It was found that many suicides occurred with music playing in the background. Music isn’t seen to be the cause of the problem but it can affect an individuals train of thought and mess with their mind. It is also said that pregnant women who to rap music during their pregnancy is most likely going to have a child that is rather aggressive. A variety of colleges have done studies within the past 10 years as to what affect music has on the students.
