Dreams of Hawaii
I’ve always wanted to get away from the dryness of the Sahara like desert we call home. Something told me that I had to get away from the consistent thermometer bursting days. I stumbled across a promotional offer for a one week stay in Kauai, which is a small island in Hawaii. I was sold on the gorgeous views of the hotel rooms, that made it seem as if you were on a movie set. Hawaii will always be special in it’s on way, because of its beautiful beaches, amazing weather, and friendly locals.
“We’ll be descending into Kauai in the next 10 minutes fasten all seat belts please” said the captain. I looked out of the window of the plane to see beautiful clear blue ocean water that you could essentially see the bottom of the ocean floor. I couldn’t help but think wow if this plane crashes now my one life fear of drowning would come true. Thankfully this didn’t happen, when we finally got off the plane a cool breeze grazed across my nose. This breeze cooled me down from being on the stuffy 6-hour plane ride. The sand between my toes made feel like I could feel every grain of sand in every piece of my feet. Seagulls were flying everywhere all around me, trying to catch a morning snack. The moment my feet touched the water it felt as if I was connected to the universe and that I returned to the source of life. Then water was extremely cold, and my whole body trembled as the water rose to my waistline. I could see in the vast distance a small little sailboat that would probably be a lot larger if I were closer. I felt something slither between my toes, which made me squeamish at first but I realized it was just seaweed. The beach in Hawaii was an amazing experience, that I often recall and long to return
