When will they be here, when will they be here! That is what I was thinking right before my escape. I had everything perfectly planned out. The beginning of my escape went well. The first part of my grand plan was to make them think that I was just going to sit there and be good for them. So, I sat on my chair content, just waiting. When I heard the big metal scrap pull up outside I slowly started walking to the door. One of the humans always left the door wide open. Then in came the little short one. This was my chance. I bolted to the door. The opening was right there, I could see the light! Then she slammed it closed. She missed my nose by a hair’s length.

With my pride damaged I slowly walked back to my chair. As I was walking I heard the door open again. I forgot all about trying to sneak in and ran as fat as I could to the door. This time it was the boy human. I knew that I could get past him. He moved his leg to try and stop me but at that point nothing could stop me. I dodged around his leg and successfully made it out the door. I was relieved the first part of my plan had worked. Suddenly, I hear all the humans desperately trying to call me back into the house. The man was riding it ringing that terrible bell. As he was getting closer I realized that I was going to have to run. I took one last glance at the horses and bolted. He kept chasing me no matter how fast I ran. I went farther, and farther, and even farther. There was no end to this road! Soon I came to a place that looked like my house. The gate was wide open! I had just made a circle! The man was coming even faster after me! So, I decided that I should end my adventure here. I ran back into the gate, back into the house, back through the door, and up onto my chair. As the man came back in I was just laughing in my head thinking about my great adventure.
