McDonald’s supervisors have been calling black and Hispanic workers bad names, suggesting to have oral sex with employees, inappropriately touching employees and sending workers pictures of their genitals. The company took no action towards what their supervisors were doing. Lisa McComb, McDonald’s spokeswomen, claims McDonald’s have not seen the lawsuit and cannot comment on the allegations. Subway’s actual chicken percentage ranges from 54% to 43%. It was also seen that Subways non-chicken products were mostly soy. Subway disagrees with these results, but don’t question the lab, but instead promised to speak with their suppliers. It is not the first time a fast-food place has been caught being devious with what they put in their food. This is more of a public embarrassment for Subway, then anything shocking as all the chemicals used are

Without a good ethos implied in an article, reader will easily feel doubtful on the statement she made. According to the New York Times’s website, it states that Cara is actually a very highly experience person in the newspaper company since she has been working before the Iraq War for Times’s Baghdad. Her expertise can be proven from the appealing hook that she managed to include at the beginning of the “Night Falls, and a Graffiti Mecca Is Whited Out” article in order to attract people attention to read it until the end. Moreover, she also has earned her master from a well-known university, Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, which shows she an expert in journalism field (New York Time, 2014). However, this article written by her did not really shows her credibility since she only provides the reader with numerous of evidences, but without deeper explanations explanation on each of the evidence that she provides. For instance, the writer quoted from Marie Cecile Flaguel, a representative from a group that has contributed to the arts in 5Pointz, that “This is the biggest rag and disrespect in the history of graffiti" without explaining what do the words means. This pivotal information or explanation of her quotation should not be simply omitted by

sociologist George Ritzer argues that the relationship between McDonald’s and our society runs even deeper. Beyond its commercial propaganda and symbolism, Ritzer says, McDonald’s is a potent manifestation of the rational processes that define modern society.
The use of appropriation has played a significant role in the history of the arts. Appropriation is a strategy that has been used by artists for millennia. It involves the intentional copying, borrowing and alteration of pre-existing and often popular works. Many artists believe they are re-contextualising or appropriating the original imagery, allowing the viewer to renegotiate the meaning of the original in a different, more relevant, or more current context and that in separating images from their original context, they allow them to take on new meanings. Artists such as Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque and Gordon Bennett use appropriation as a form of bringing new, often personal, meaning to an artwork such as Gordon Bennett’s ‘Outsider’.
A world without the Big Mac, Happy Meals, Chicken McNuggets, and the phrase “I’m lovin’ it,” is almost inconceivable. People around the globe have become accustomed to the high gleaming golden arches that make up the famous emblem for McDonald’s. McDonald’s has grasped the concept that culture flows from power. In this case, the American culture flows through the veins of this fast-food giant and the more that is supplied, the greater the demand. It has become a well known icon that has played a huge part in globalization, with chains located in many different countries… transforming the meaning of fast-food all around the world.

Society begins adapting to the characteristics of McDonaldization which are efficiency, predictability, uniformity, and control. The employee of McDonald’s is a part of the service and so is the customer. The two together both influence the service that is being offered. In a restaurant, all customers are present while an individual customer is getting the service and the behaviour of the other customers can determine the satisfaction of the service delivered to the individual customer. This is the reason why the management of McDonald’s should make sure that the customers involved in the service do not interfere with each other’s
Art theft is a crime that has been on the rise for the last half of this century. “According to law enforcement officials, art theft now ranks second only to drugs as the world’s most lucrative illegal activity.” (Journal of Commerce) Whether bought, created, or stolen, art has become something that is of great demand. “Art theft has flourished as never before. Just keeping up with the number of stolen objects and their total value is a big-time guessing game.” (Dudar) This is a problem that not only faces us as art owners and collectors, but museums and auction houses as well. Everyone possessing a piece of artwork is at risk of art theft. This artwork doesn’t have to be anything out of the ordinary to be a target. Along with famous paintings, sculptures, and other types of artwork, many insignificant or unrecognized pieces of artwork are being stolen too. “Most thefts appear to be the work of thieves without serious art education. Along with the good stuff, they are apt to sweep up junk – those sappy gift-shop paintings of kids with enormous eyes, for example, which no serious collector would covet.” (Lowenthal) On the other hand some of these thefts are being done by some of the best in the business. “Some thieves have turned out to be professionals who, following fashion, switched from robbing video stores to burgling art. Some are actually specialists in vehicle t...

Overall, McDonalds are able to reach customers all around the globe and they market their products inexpensively. According to Naim (2001, p. 1) it is acknowledged that, “McDonald 's is a global brand, but we run our business in a fundamentally different way that ought to appeal to some critics of globalization. We are a decentralized entrepreneurial network of locally owned stores that is very flexible and adapts very well to local conditions. We offer an opportunity to entrepreneurs to run a local business with local people supplied by a local infrastructure. Each creates a lot of small businesses around
