A new NFL football season always starts with every team on equal footing and an equal opportunity to compete for the Super Bowl. While it looks like the Eagles made some changes that will benefit the team in the long-term, it comes at the expense of this season and maybe next season. With essentially the same team as last year, a team that went 7-9, it's hard to imagine this team taking a big step forward. For that reason alone, 2016 should be viewed as a rebuilding season while Pederson puts his own signature on the squad.
