Fantasy football is the most anticipated and hyped competition for sports fans each year. It is where sports fans try to get bragging rights and show off their expertise in sports. According to Forbes, 33 million people play fantasy football each year. This includes an estimated 6.4 million women. They also found that Americans spend an estimated $800 million annually on all fantasy sports media products. This really is an American phenomenon.

Fantasy football is all based on the National Football League. All the players on a fantasy football participant’s team, play in the NFL. You should have in mind what players you want on your team. You should research all the player’s statistics from the previous year and see if they are consistent with his being a reliable player. You should look at his past injuries and research the significance of them. You should keep up with the NFL news to see which players that were traded or injured. You should also look at the player’s schedule because whether he is playing against a hard or easy team could affect his performance. A mock draft is a procedure according to which you make an assumption based on rankings as to when a player will be selected. A mock draft is beneficial because it gives you an idea of when players will be chosen. Also, on draft day, a fantasy player must make their selection within a certain period of time. So, by participating in a mock draft, you will be prepared when you are on the clock and, thus, not make ill-advised selections. Look at your draft number selection and see the players who might be available when you choose. After the mock draft, you should be able see what your team could be like.

After the draft, you should see if you like your team and compare it to other teams. If one team has a player whom you might like, try to offer reasonable trades. Ask people who are knowledgeable of football to see if they think that the trade is worth it. As I mentioned before, there are 16 players on a team, but 11 players start each week, which means that there are 5 players who will be on your bench each week.
