Introduction. Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a concept described by C.G Jung on how useful in people’s life. (myerbriggs.com n.d), The concept is focused on the variation in behavior in people, either orderly or consistence due to some basic differences in the way each person prefer to use their perception and judgment (myerbriggs.con n.d). In this written assignment unit 2, I will confirm my preference profile obtained from the Jungian test, what it means to business or academic milieu, I will also introduce four (4) opposite preference to mine and difficulty I’ve encountered in the past as related to my four preferences. Reason is because personalities of ISFJ like to keep to themselves. From what I know now, my in-law and my peer in Uopeople belongs to ESFP personality group and I now understand why they did what they did. Base on what I have learned thus far both in EI and MBTI, knowing my four (4) personality preference, three strategies I will employ in dealing with difficult situations will be (1) Imaginative and observant. I will use this innate skill to observe, empathize and not to judge rapidly. ( Josephchris.com 2017) I will always put myself in the circumstance of other to understand the situation before taking action. (2) Dealing with individuals of different personalities maybe a bit difficult but base on what I know now, I will be supportive and understanding to them. I will be less selective and encourage those around me to feel free to express their problems, I will try to be adaptive to new things . (3) I will show more emotions to others, it is identified that ISFJ are unassertive, but having known what I know now, I will try to be assertive in my approach to people of different personality group and try not to take things too personally.
