My Visit To The Los Angeles Zoo

I’ll never forget the time I went to the Los Angeles Zoo. When my family went there it was December 2016, and I was with my dad, mom, and sister. We went to California because we were going to a concert, but we had some extra time before the concert to do something. So we went to the Los Angeles Zoo. We left Eyota at two in the afternoon. It took two hours to get to the airport. At that point we had two more hours to get through security and have some food before the plane. At five-thirty we started boarding. I was getting excited to get out of the cold and snowy weather. It took four hours to get to California, but it went by fast. I just listened to some music and read a few chapters of my book. When the pilot was getting ready to land, I looked outside to see a ton of lights over the city. “What are those lights?” my sister asked. “I don't know, they’re probably just street lights,” my dad said not too confidently. “No, that’s traffic,” my sister said, “that’s a lot of traffic.” My dad and I didn’t believe her until we got close enough to actually see that the lights were in fact traffic. When my mom finally caught up with us we were in a new area. We saw peacocks, coyotes, a ram and a zebra. As we headed through the zoo, we saw these weird creatures that were very skinny and ate leaves standing on their hind legs. Later we saw giraffes, one of the giraffes was a baby so it wasn’t very tall. Surprisingly, the giraffes came really close to us. Then we went into this area where there were baboons and jaguars. Finally, we went down a long path and it felt like it was going on forever, but on the way down there was a certain smell that was strong and sweet.
