When I was ten years old my Father took me to Universal Studios in Orlando Florida during summer vacation. It is one of the most memorable experiences of my life.
It was my first time on an airplane, so I was a little nervous. It felt like forever while we sat in the plane waiting to take off. Finally, I heard the pilot say “prepare for take off.” I’ll admit I was a little scared, but as the plane lifted off the runway, I was ok.
The plane ride there was three hours long. It was a little bumpy, but other then that, everything went well. We landed in Orlando. The airport was gigantic. After walking for a while, we found the baggage claim. It took us a while to find all of our suitcases. We rented a car and drove to my Uncle Joe’s house. We were going to be staying with him for a week. It was nice to see him and my cousins Brandon and Audrey.
We ate dinner, talked for a little while and then I went to sleep. We had a big day ahead of us. We were all going to Universal Studios the next day. I couldn’t wait.
I could see some of the roller coasters as we drove to Universal’s Island of Adventure the next morning. There were so many people there. There was at least 50 people waiting on each line. While we were waiting to get our bracelets, my uncle disappeared for a minute, and when he came back, he surprised us with passes to the front of every line for every ride in the park.
Brandon got to pick the first ride we went on. It was called the Hul...
While entering Islands of Adventure I heard this very loud roar and didn’t know where it was coming from, so I kept walking forward to try and find out and on my left I see this big green roller coaster roaring as it did flips and turns so I followed in amazement and I said aloud, “I wonder what is the name of this ride”? Someone answered me and said “this is the incredible hulk; how don’t you know about this ride”. As I walk through the park I noticed that there are different sections of the park such as superhero land, the lost continent, and wizardly world of harry potter. My favorite one had to have been the lost continent because of this new ride called “The Reign of Kong”. The Reign of Kong was based off of the movie King Kong, but while in the ride it made you feel like you are really in the jungle trying to escape from the dinosaurs and Kong comes and kills them then blood splashes over everyone. After walking around the park all day we got ready to go back to our room it began to pour down rain while walking back to our
When I entered the airplane I was as excited as a 6-year-old could be about losing the people she loved the most. The greatest aspect of my fear was the idea of losing my mother. As a child, I always
We laughed and talked until we got to a place where they had a movie and a gift shop. We watched the little movie on Aberaham Lincolns life , and finally we had to leave.
So after planning the trip out my friends and I hit the road. It was Cooper, Carson, Patrick, and I. Before going on the trip I knew all my friends loved roller coasters so that didn’t make things easier on me. We made several stops on the way to get food and use the bathroom. It seemed like I had to
So I was looking forward to this ride just to see my grandma like that. The ride itself was more of a sit and see ride. We sat on a boat, and it would move slowly so we could see all of the little figurines from the different cultures move and dance. As the ride went on, the song “It’s a Small World After All” would play, and I would look at my grandma and she would have this happy face and she would be clapping along to the music. I myself enjoyed the ride because it was meant to be a happy ride, and let me tell you, it was certainly was happy. Those rides were really fun to go on, but they didn’t give that intense feeling that I was looking for. Enter Splash mountain, my personal favorite ride from the Magic Kingdom. This reason this was my favorite ride is that when we went on it, we all got soaked. It was kind of funny listening to my family react to getting wet, especially my grandma because she hates getting wet. Plus when we went down the long slide at the end, my heart felt like it went out of my chest. It was an exhilarating ride, and I had a good time on
It was time, me and my friend Kayla ran to Kingda Ka the world's tallest roller coaster! We were at Great Adventure, in the Golden Kingdom section, where some of the animals are kept. We were there for one thing and one thing only, a roller coaster! Kayla shouted, “Here we come Kingda Ka” and off we went!
“Come on, guys,” I yelled at my family, which consists of my mom Madonna, my father John, and my two sisters Alissa and Kara, as I ran frantically across the jam-packed parking lot to the opening gate that led to a world of adventure. As wide as the world around, my eyes pierced at the doorway to a world of fun. Families, of all sizes, were enjoying all the possibilities of fun. Hearing laughter and frightening screams, warned me of the experience waiting for me within the doorway to everlasting amazement. The sweet baked smell of funnel cakes swarmed into the fresh morning air. Before I knew it, my family and I were ready to enter Valleyfair, an amusement park that offers summertime fun to the maximum.
It was time for us to leave and board the plane to America. I was very excited to get to America, I was also anxious to see my Dad who I haven’t seen in months. The flight was long, I can remember in the air was my first time feeling turbulence, whoa let me tell you it was a scary one it felt like the plane was about to crash. I was anxious for the plane to land. When we arrived we exited out the plane and head out to the train inside the airport in order to go to U.S. customs and border protection, to get our documents sorted out, so that we could enter the country.
It was a Friday, and my first time at White Water. I had been to Six Flags many times in the past few years, as I had always been a pass holder, but this was different than Six Flags. Six Flags had roller coasters where I was strapped in and going 60+ mph. I loved the feeling of going on the rides, but this wasn’t Six Flags. This was a completely new place. I could feel the terror in my bones, but I also knew that I was excited to go on this new ride. A ride where it would just be me making sure I didn’t fall off.
It took about 45 minutes to get the airport. Thoughts were rushing through my mind the whole time of what Florida would be like. I had gone twice before, but I was really young and I couldn't remember anything from those trips. My cousins met us at the airport and my grandparents
If a ride was shut down, fastpasses were given out to guests that allowed them to go on another ride. Little details like these made the trip. The magical experience I had to excellent cast members helped me come to recognize my desire to work in an industry where I can make other’s dreams come true like mine had on that vacation. As I progressed through high school, I began to look into different colleges and degree programs and saw that a degree related to business and/or management would be a perfect fit for me as someone who is hardworking and enjoys leadership. Finally, I realized that the organization I wanted to work for had always been in my life: The Walt Disney Company.
Have you ever felt the rushing wind on your face while spiraling through the air? Well if so, then you have probably been on a roller coaster. This October was the first time that I have been on a roller coaster. Traveling with a group of friends, went to the Haunt Night at Worlds of Fun. It was quite an thrilling experience. There were zombies and goblins prowling around, waiting to give you a scare. When we were on our way I was nervous, but excited. As we all trudged up, Keeshawn, Paige, Makenna, Cooper, Katie, and I went to the first ride, The Patriot.
The stewardess then directed me towards the back, away from the cockpit. I looked at my ticket and at what seat I'd be sitting in. I had to duck in and around people putting their luggage into the upper compartments and look for my number on the back of my seat that matched my ticket stamp. As I walked past one of the windows, I glanced out and saw the right wing. It somehow gave me reassurance that I'd be fine and I'd soon be having the time of my life. "I'll soon be in the air."
When I heard my parents talking about going to Disney World I was so excited. It was a long trip down to Florida and I could not sit still, because I was so excited. We finally arrived that evening and decided to stay in a hotel near the theme park. When it was time for bed I could not go to sleep for a long time, because I was so excited about going at Disney world. When I saw the big mirror ball from the entrance, I was amazed. Disney world had a wide variety of rides. There were tons of rides that shocked me. Some of these rides made you feel like you were riding in a jet because of how fast they were. There was even a roller coaster ride in the huge mirror ball. It was a slow ride, but I still liked it because there was air conditioning inside the ball. We spent all day at the park until we had ridden everything. That night Disney World had a firework show. The fireworks seemed like they lasted forever with the amazing colors bursting in the air one right after another. When the firework show finally ended my parents told me that it was time to leave. I was...
I can still remember how excited I was before take off, I mean it felt like forever while we sat in the plane waiting to take off. Just all the anticipation that was inside of me had just made the wait even longer for me. Finally, I heard the pilot say 'prepare for take off'. When I heard those words I was so overjoyed I could hardly contain myself. That rush I got once the plane took off was an experience like no other. The plane ride was about hours long and I enjoyed every minute of it. Little did I know, that was less than half of the fun I was going to have at Orlando.
