Being a teacher can happen in many different ways. In God’s eyes it was your calling. Some have a story on how they got to their journey and others don’t. Today I will tell you about my passion and journey on becoming a teacher. I have always love children, I started to babysit when I was 12 years old. That how I made my school clothes money. I did this for four years and then all of a sudden I didn’t want anything to do with children. This went on for a couple of years until my own child was born. I saw a different light. I wanted the best my son and I felt only I could provide it. My son was my motivation to go back to school. Several schools were listed and one stood out CCU. I wanted to finish in a Christian environment because I feel that I would more about and have a closer relationship with the Lord and get my degree. When thinking about a relationship with the Lord these verses come to mind. (Open Bible, n.d.) says in Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. And in Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Now that I am in my year of my bachelors I see myself praying to God to guide my steps to the right path where he would like me to go. Then when I am teaching at work and I see a child that has struggle for months to learn how to spell their name finally gets it. It brings tears to my eyes because they have finally reach success goal and I want to be there to see what else they learn. So I know I am right where I need to be.
