Books have impacted lives for centuries. We receive knowledge from books, and also learn more about ourselves through them. We are often rejuvenated by children’s sprightly picture books and warped by popular novels. Flippant or grievous, these books I have selected for my ideal bookshelf have impacted my life for the better.

GoodNight Moon is one of the first books read to me and one of the first books I read myself. This auspicious book was a huge part of my bona fide childhood. The small book is very concise. Even now as I’m older I still love Goodnight Moon and still find myself picking it up once in a while. This year in English I read Goodnight, Mr. Tom. This novel is very perverse. I thought I wouldn’t like this book, just because I didn’t know much about it. I now concede that this book is, in fact, very profuse and I really enjoyed it and learned a lot about depreciation and unconditional love.
