My Experience As A Writer

Writing is an arduous task. It demands great effort and mastery of the language and of the topic that you are writing. I find writing as something that is both terrifying and exciting at the same time. Writing has always been a challenge for me, but I also feel the ecstatic whenever I get hold of a pen. Sometimes, I stumble over words, but I smile the sweet scent of satisfaction whenever I capture the ideas that I have and watch it take shape in the paper.

As a writer, I think that my strengths include being creative. Having the ability to write something in a different angle is one of my strengths. I also think that being reflective works in my advantage because I am able to come up with good ideas using the things that I know and experienced. …show more content…

I find it hard to think of ideas to write about. Brainstorming is always my greatest problem. When I am not familiar with the topic that I am to write, I find it hard to think of ideas, details and examples to put in my work. In this case, I always consult different references especially books and also ask different people regarding their views and ideas on the said topic. On the other hand, when I am too familiar with the topic, I get lost in a vast sea of ideas and the tendency is for me to have a hard time sifting and organizing the ideas that I have. Also, I find it hard to be concise in writing. In high school, I was taught that in writing, less is more - less words create more impact - but I find it hard to express my ideas clearly when faced in the constraint of
