It’s been him the whole time. Those years at summer camp, the coffee dates he came on, every birthday present he bought, all of the times he gave a shoulder to cry on, and the time he rescued me. It’s always been him. After weeks of thought, I finally figured out what I really need. As Josh walks through that door, I sit up. A huge smile rushes over his face, a smile of happiness and of relief as he realizes I am not dead. He walks over to the hospital bed where I’ve been bound to for over 15 days and leans his face down to mine.
