One can say that every day is a learning experience. This can be said because almost every individual in their day to day interactions learn something they did not know the day before. This knowledge can be obtained in various ways, from school, to current events, to hands on experience, to family members and even a Snapple bottle cap. The knowledge that every individual obtains in way uniquely shapes their lives. The knowledge that is obtain helps people to better interact with other people. This can be seen when people attend college in order to further their education in a particular field. I can relate to this because this is the reason as to why I decided to go college, which was to further my education which will help gain a better understanding of the world. College helps those who attend it to better themselves from the knowledge that the gain which leads to self-enrichment. This idea of self-enrichment is evident in the essay written by Keith Parson’s where he discusses the new wave of college freshman students and is upset on their views on how the students feel that should be educated and he goes on to state, “If your aim is to get a credential, then for you courses will be an obstacle in your path. For your professor, a professor, a course is an opportunity to make your world richer and yourself stronger” (Parsons p.10). When someone decides to further their education, it should not be seen laborious task, like going to point A to point B, but rather as a way of building oneself up to becoming a better individual, and with education serving as a source of nourishment.
