My deepening interest in film started in Media Studies in Year 10 and ever since my fascination for film has grown and grown. I am deeply intrigued by the creation of film and the huge influences that it has on our society. I am applying for this course because I would love to further deepen my knowledge and experience of filmmaking to compete in the ever changing and competitive industry it is part of. I know this course would give me the opportunity to do so. For my work experience I was fortunate enough to win a voluntary position at Cleddau Press Ltd. where I further developed my communication skills, initiative, time management and developed my motivation to work in the film industry. I was introduced to successful advertising as I was encouraged to put forward my ideas and solutions to one of the projects the team were working on and several of my ideas were adopted into the project, something that I am very proud of, particularly as I was working with some very experienced operators.
