The Crucible by was based on an event the called the Salem witch trials. During this time girls were caught dancing in the forest and got caught and one of the girls did not wake up. Because of the people started to believe that there was witches in the town and in turn caused everyone in the village to turn on each other. No one who was on the side of the devil. Many people can be blamed for what happened but the person that I believe is the most to blame is Mary Warren.
