"Oh, Max." said Mama Mouse. "This just means Santa must have come." Max looked confused. "If Mr. Santa was supposed to spread holiday cheer, why would he eat all the cookies?" Papa Mouse chuckled. "Max, don't you know? The more cookies you bring Santa the more present he brings."
"Presents?!" Max got really excited. He has always wanted the Cheese-A-Tron 2000! It is a yellow scooter with cheese scented handle bars and goes faster than all the other mice scooters! Max knew what he had to do to get that scooter.
He ran straight into the humans' kitchen and squeeeeezed into the cabinet. He started rummaging through all the boxes until... he found it! The box of sugar cookie mix! He heard it was Mr. Santa's favorite.
He scurried into the refrigerator and got out the eggs, milk and whoooole lot of BUTTER!
He mixed and he mixed,

He scurried back into his hole and went straight to bed. Hoping that Mr. Santa Clause would come back with his scooter.
"IT'S CHRISTMAS MORNING!!!!" said Papa Mouse. Max was already up and waiting at the door to go out into the humans' house to see if he had gotten the scooter. "You must be very excited, Max." said Papa Mouse. "Papa, I made a whole bunch of cookies last night for Mr. Santa, so he would get me the Cheese-A-Tron 2000!" squeaked Max. "Well, why don't you go and check under the tree, Son."
Max scampered to the big green tree. He ran all around, until... there it was! A tiny box, WITH MAX'S NAME ON IT! "Oh boy, oh boy!" said Max. "Could it be?!" He pushed the box into his hole and began to open it in front of his Mama and Papa.
It was the Cheese-A-Tron 2000! "Thank you, Mr. Santa!" said Max as he sniffed the handle bars. "Christmas is the best!"
At the end of the day, they gathered together as a family to watch their favorite Christmas movie through their little hole in the wall. "Mousey Chritsmas." whispered Mama and Papa Mouse. Max smiled up at them and whispered, "Mousey
Dr. Seuss's original fable is a simple story told with a great moral that criticizes the commercialization of Christmas. The original story features an “Ebenezer Scrooge” type creature that lives up the mountains outside "Whoville." The Grinch indulges himself in the annual ritual of spoiling everyone's festivities with a series of nasty pranks. This particular year however he plans to sabotage the holiday season by dressing as Santa Claus, clim...

People leave their used clothes outside the Salvation Army or church, but they do not know where the clothes will go eventually. George Packer did a lot of interviews and investigation into the used clothes trade. Based on this report, many cutural and gender issues have been raised. George Parker uses convincing data as well, since he followed closely the trail of one T-shirt to its final owner in Uganda.

Ah, to be a kid again. How wonderful it would be to relive the magic of Christmas. Don’t get me wrong, I have always been a kid at heart and a true lover of Christmas. But as we get older and we realize that Santa Claus and the North Pole were just stories our parents told us so we’d behave, Christmas starts to lose that magical feeling. No matter how much we might still love it, Christmastime just isn’t the same as when we were young. And at a time of all the aggravating shopping hustle and bustle, dents in the pockets, headaches, traffic jams and long lines, I begin to realize that God has sent me the most magical Christmas gift of all, a beautiful three year old whom I can relive Christmas in all over. Through my child’s eyes, I see myself each time his face lights up at the sight of Santa, and I feel his anticipation each morning as he faithfully opens up one more window on the Christmas calendar. Tonight, as we decorate the tree, I admiringly watched his tiny fingers delicately place each of the ornaments on all the same branches until they drooped to the floor. So proud of his work, I secretly placed some elsewhere, as to not hurt his feelings, and wondered how many times my own mother had done the same thing. And after a long day of shopping and excitement, I watched his eyelids begin to droop while lying underneath the warm glow of the Christmas tree lights.
“NOOOO! You ate my entire house! Do you know hard it is to get another candy house with the tiny income I get!” I screamed “ Now I must eat
...know you guys aren't lying because Jeremy lies all the time. Like one time he said Santa wasn't real! But I knew he was lying because I left Santa a letter under the Christmas tree once and he wrote me one back!" She looked so happy. It was absolutely adorable."You know I've never told anyone this but I've seen Santa before. When I was eight, I woke up in the middle of the night because I heard something on the roof, so I went downstairs and I saw Santa putting gifts under the tree." Both Laney and Presley had their mouths open in shock. "OMG! Did you get his autograph?!" Jeremy said mockingly. "Yeah, did you?!" Presley asked wide eyed. "I did but then Sean thought it was just a blank piece of paper and wrote all over it."
It was a nice chilly day, the sky was white and the ground was full of snow. It was Christmas Eve. “Ryan was going to Christmas shopping get ready,” shouted Marilyn. “Ok mom” replied Ryan. How many presents are we getting this year? asked Ryan. Last year Ryan’s grandpa decided that they get limited presents because he thought they get too much presents. Detroit was a beautiful place to visit and one of the must visit places was the bank called Wells Fargo it was fifth biggest bank in the world. Someone had flipped the calendar; it read December 1962 - Advent Season, my favorite time of the year. In America they called it Christmas season. I noticed the entire neighborhood, including my in-laws, busied themselves with putting strings of electrical lights on their houses and front yards trees. Some had lit up statues of a jolly Santa Claus, reindeer, or a snowman placed under trees or by the front door. After dark, the illuminated houses and yards gave a feeling of a supernal place. We bundled up and took Patrizia through this sea of lights and her big brown eyes glistened in wondrous delight. During our walks, I learned that Santa Claus came in a sleigh, loaded with gifts for all children, pulled by eight reindeer, and Rudolf,
Sitting by the fireplace under a warm and heavy blanket, the children and their mom slowly thawed out. The long day outside had been a frosty, fun day. The children built the best snowman in their world, or so they thought. They got to sled down a huge hill while pretending to be race cars. The children also got to have a snowball battle with their mom. To top off the day, the children got to drink homemade hot chocolate by the fireplace with mom. Who could have thought that you could have so much fun on such a cold day?
I was certain he was the real Santa because he fit the description to a T and knew my name, something he could only have known from reading Santa’s list. The rest of the awestruck kids and I followed behind him closely, our minds overflowing with questions. I listened intently as, one by one, each child had the chance to sit on Santa’s lap to talk about their year and what they wanted for Christmas. When it was my turn, my heart leaped and my breathing quickened. It was huge turnaround from hours beforehand when I couldn’t have cared less about the happenings of the Christmas party.
