Who thinks no one can be able to find comets? Well, everybody can. Especially Luis Alvarez. Alvarez was a Nobel prize winning physicist, and is very famous for the discovery of the iridium layer and the theory that the mass extinction of dinosaurs was caused by an asteroid or comet. Luis was born on June 13, 1911, in San Francisco, California. When he was 15, his family moved to Rochester, Minnesota. He graduated from Rochester high school, then started a Bachelor of science courses. A few years later he was intending to major in chemistry. Later on he continued as a graduated student in Chicago. Luis built a array of Geiger counters, which he put to use studying for cosmic rays for school in Chicago. He was a highly good student in schools.
