Lean system emphasizes on the prevention of waste such as labor and material spend, in this case in the design project of wind solar hybrid system. It is to manage the project with the minimum overhead. Wastes that do not add value to the product must be eliminated. LPM is also about building a lean behavior among the members of the design team, so as to constantly improve their skill levels and knowledge, for the betterment of the whole design process. Agile development methodology provides engineers and designers involved in this project with the opportunities to assess the direction of this design project throughout the development lifecycle. This is achieved by having iterations or designing cycles in the project, where the members of the team present partial deliverables throughout the work cycle. Comparably, the traditional “waterfall” methodology only provides the team with one shot to get all the aspects of the hybrid system design right. This puts the whole project in risk if there is any circumstance that thing do not follow the plan. In agile paradigm, every aspect of the development, such as the requirements, design, performance, etc. is continually reviewed and improved throughout the design cycle. Therefore, when things need to be change, there will always be a time to steer the wheel in another direction.
