Self-Assessment and Reflection Paper

Doing Self-Assessments are always humbling, they make you realize that there is always room to improve on something. Even when you “think” you are doing your best; they make you question your best and strive for more. One of the recent test I took, one that I had never taken before really made me want to better my leadership performance. I know nobody is perfect, but it is completely ok to strive for better. The word legacy is defined as something that is handed down or bequeathed unto someone. Leadership Legacy Assessment made me think about what kind of legacy or trail I was leaving behind.

I was pleased that I scored well in areas I know and strive to achieve excellence; and that is through people. I can sit here all day and tell you how important people are, and how important it is to make a difference in someone’s life, but until you stop and do it… you’ll never know. Until you stop being the sheep in the heard of life; you will never know what it’s like to find yourself being the one who makes a difference in others. I took one more assessment, the Blake and Mouton Leadership Assessment; in this one the questions were very unique. It turns out I am: Team Leadership – High Production/High People. I think this is partly true, however I am not a stressor. I truly have faith in my team to get things done, as they have faith in me to get what they need...So there is really no need for stressful situations. Besides when you work as a team everyone is working collaboratively and caring equally; in turn the employees absolutely understand the goals and purpose of the organization, why else would one be with and organization; if you don’t understands its
