Kusai Abusafi Queen Margot La Reine Margot is a French film directed and produced by Patrice Chereau. It is a 1994 production based on the Novel La Reine Margot by Alexandre Dumas in 1845. It stars many French famous actors such as Isabelle Adjani, Daniel Auteuil, Virna Lisi and Vincent Pérez; and was also projected to win many awards. A slightly altered, translated version of this film was released under the name Queen Margot in the United States, Canada and in the UK. The film was high budget production but also a box office success, although it was only given a limited theatrical release it grossed a little over 2 Million dollars in the United States, as well as in other countries such as Germany, Argentine and France where it gained close to 3 million dollars. Queen Margot ended up winning many noticeable awards such as the Jury Prize and Best Actress Award at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival, as well as five César Awards. There are a lot of people that were risking their lives for the children of Jews. I’m going to be talking about one of the woman that helped save some children. When first proposed the plan for the budget was $350,000.This was later change the scheduled for a 24-day shoot and a budget of $454,864.In the first month it made a million in the U.S. before the end of the year it made an additional 2.5 million. During Catherine's lifetime, according to Mary Ann Sullivan in her essay “St. Catherine of Siena,” the center of Catholic rule fluctuated between Rome and Avignon and contributed to a schism between popes in Italy and France (1). Catherine was born 23rd in a line of 25 children and, according to Sullivan “even at a young age, [she] sensed the troubled society around her and wanted to help” (1). While her parents were not exceptionally religious, St. Catherine's biographer Blessed Raymond of Capua discusses Catherine's early zeal for Catholic practices: “When she was about five she learned the Hail Mary, and repeated it over and over again as often as she could…she was inspired by heaven to address the Blessed Virgin in this way whenever she went up and down stairs, stopping to kneel on each step as she did so” (24). Her devotion to the Virgin Mary would become especially important in a vision she had around this time while walking with her brother to visit one of her sisters.
What happened on opening weekend is now history as they say. The movie made about $35 million dollars, and broke all kinds of records to do with seasons and ratings, etc. I don't remember all the details, but it was a luscious American success. And I marveled then and I marvel now.

So King Charles IX and his men went and killed Gaspard de Coligny during the nighttime, and the next day it was chaotic in France, turning into a civil war. The St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre in France during 1572 resulted in a massive number of deaths to the Huguenot population, a very religious group of French Protestants; this massacre led to larger civil war in France that would harm the country.
In the book Mary,Bloody Mary, written by Carolyn Meyer, a young Mary tells the reader about her life as royalty or at least her time in royalty. The nine year old Mary explains how her father, King Henry, has just betrothed her to the king of France. She however did not like this and was overwhelmed with anger towards her father, for she did not want to marry the king of France, Mary wanted to chose who she would marry herself,but she knows she can not do this.
