When an alpha so stubborn and ignorant as Derek Hale wants to end your best friend since kindergartens life, it undoubtedly made everyone a little on edge. The recent drama about the Kanima on the loose has made Derek nervous and quite frankly scared to the bone. The characters in the play are either portrayed as good or evil with no in between , which makes life even harder for them . Salem mislabeled people in town as good or evil , but they had very little or no evidence at all to support it . Salem labels Rebecca nurse as a witch and evil , when really she was innocent and took care of everyone's babies. Abigail was an evil character who was a liar, vindictive and careless , the people of Salem viewed her as good character .
People often get stumped on whether or not they truly love their significant other. They often wonder if they’re with the right person. Sometimes it’ll take some kind of a push to actually feel love between you and your significant other. In the play, different people have different opinions about Elizabeth and John’s love life. I believe that they genuinely did love each other. Even though Elizabeth mentioned that there wasn’t true happiness in the household, the audience could tell that they legitimately did care about each other. It’s a corrupt witch trial in Salem that’s due to false accusations of witchcraft for personal gains. John Proctor is the protagonist in the story The Crucible who goes through the ultimate test by choosing his reputation over integrity.

The Crucible by Arthur Miller is a short film where cruelty functions as a crucial motivation and a major social factor. In the film there was a lot of cruelty going on and helped shape the theme. There were some cases in the film that cruelty showed characteristics of a victim or one of the characters. Cruelty was apart of puritan aspects and it revealed that John didn’t care what he had to go through to save his soul.

The protagonist, John Proctor, a damnable farmer, has a lecherous affair with the antagonist, Abigail Williams, an ignorant and covetous juvenile. Satan mixes their interior motives to manufacture a catastrophic concoction. The ingredients of destruction consist of selfishness, immaturity, and corruption. The voracious desires of the natives of Salem lead to their evil and self-indulged intentions.

From company slogans to motivational speeches, our world seems to impose this idea that change is always a good thing. Assuming that the change is for the better, it is probably a true statement in most cases. The root of this idea seems to come from the notion that we are dissatisfied with the state that we are in, so, in order to create a more enjoyable environment, we adjust.
The Crucible was a rather strong book, it had battles both internal and external, there were also betrayals and vendettas… but a few stuck strong to their morals of what was wrong, and what was right. After the girl’s acts were, undoubtedly, in the eyes of the law, seen as entirely real, people who would not otherwise have been accused of witchcraft were now eligible to be under Satan’s spell. One John Proctor, saw himself above the nonsense, that witches could not exist in Salem, his wife, his children nor him; But, when Mary Warren said to the court that he used his spirit to drag her into court to testify against the girls, the judges deemed her word more truthful than his. After actively and repeatedly denying the claims, he was sentenced to death, for only a witch could lie in the face of god.

In the Salem, Massachusetts, the year of 1692 women were “puritans”. They dressed very modestly, kept their hair hidden, and were loyal to their husbands. The majority were stay at home wives. The young women would work for the older women and would get paid. Elizabeth Proctor, Abigail Williams, and Mary Warren each did one of those things. These women represent the archetypes of this story.
“You have made your magic now, for now I do think I see a shred of good in John Proctor. Not enough to weave a banner with, but white enough to keep it from such dogs.” This quote, from Act IV of The Crucible, can sum of up a good bit of who John Proctor is and how much he has changed from the beginning of the story. John went from being an insecure, self deprecating man to a content man, forgiving his own faults, and having enough self respect to keep him from despising himself. Which, I think, is one of the most relatable qualities of a character, that they can change just as we do in our everyday lives.
