Juveniles can be transferred to the adult court through the judicial waiver on a case-by-case basis. The decision is usually made at the prosecution ‘s request and follows by a transfer hearing. The other popular transfer mechanisms dating from the 1970s are the automatic transfer and prosecutorial discretion.
