According to the article “Food politics” “Economists say, obesity and its consequences cost our society $190 billion annually in health care and lost productivity.” This quote is trying to say that if the percentage of obesity continues to rise then we will spend more money on health care. This will mainly affect the people who all the people who are obese because they will have to spend more on medications that will help their body function normally. I believe that the government should ban beverages over sixteen ounces. Even though buying a bigger size drink may be cheaper, drinks over sixteen ounces and junk food should be banned because it is causing too much obesity, people might have a lot of health problems, and it all that sugar is bad for one human being.

All the sugar that those drinks and foods contain can give a person high blood pressure. They can also cause high cholesterol. The consequence of having high cholesterol or high blood pressure might be that the person has to take a lot of medications or medicines to help control it. Those medications can be very costly. They spend more money on medicine.
All that I’m trying to say in this essay is that it would be better if the Government regulated what a person eats or drinks. It can help people stay in shape. It can also prevent obesity from occurring a lot, and it can help save many lives. A lot of people die because they have health problems and these sugary foods and drinks cause them. So to make the world a better and more healthier place the government should ban these unhealthy
