Abstract The correlation between the violent risk of a narcissist and the case of Jodi Arias was researched. The Arias case was shocking and at the center of Americas’ interest, as this trial was closely watched and followed while being aired on television throughout its entirety. It is hard to say what sparked the interest in the public as there were several psychological entities in this case. Many times, when we speak of domestic violence or any type of domestic disturbance our brain auto reacts to think it is male vs. woman. In this case Arias was the aggressor and it is important to note that the victim Travis was not currently in a relationship with Arias. When she was asked why would Travis have gone after her she claimed that she had dropped his camera and he allegedly, in her words, had attacked her. It was quite interesting her choice of words after claiming the abuse because she stated that “she accidentally shot him with his own gun”. If she did shoot him by accident then this would not be a self- defense case because in self-defense you would be deliberately attempting to wound or kill the person that is causing you to fear for your life at that moment.
