I walk to my locker as the bell rang indicating the end of the school day. I was pushed and shoved throughout the day, but by now, I didn’t care. I was done. Rumors flew around during the week about what had supposedly happened the previous weekend with Jarred. “I hear she’s easy.” “I bet she forced him into doing it. Cuz she’s that desperate.” “Jarred’s a lucky man! For having a girl willing to follow his every command.” “She’s such a slut, soon, she’ll go after every other guy in the school.” “I heard her say that she wants more.” “She’s probably infested with STI’s by now, from all the guys she’d been with.” That’s the thing, they are rumors, and none of it was true. “You made it my business, when you involved MY BEST FRIEND!” she growls. Jarred yelps in pain while clutching his nose, “you little b***ch,” he muffles in his hands, while walking away. “You’ll pay for this,” he yells back. “Ya right, f***ing Coward,” Beth mumbles angrily to herself, she never swears unless she’s really pissed off. She turns her attention to what is sprawled on my locker, then to me, where I’ve somehow fallen to the ground, leaning against my locker while crying into my knees. She bends down and hugs me, telling me that it’s going to be okay. That we’re going to get through this. But deep down, I know it isn’t. It never does. ***** Beth calls Andy and tells him to leave without me, she doesn’t tell him why because he’ll just come down and make a big scene, being the dramatic person he is. Obviously Andy has heard about the rumors going around, he knew that it has something to do with them. This causes a small argument between Andy and Beth, which happens a lot. Andy yelling at Beth for not telling him the truth, Beth yelling at Andy back, telling him that she’ll handle it, which will end with Andy sighing in defeat like he always does, telling her that she better make it
