The article has two parts, the first part is ““A Response to Mary Gordon” by Sally Mann,” she protects her family pictures from critics that are against her work such as Mary Gordon. (p. 228 - 229). Sally Mann is a photographer that takes pictures of her children and a series of her pictures, her children are nude and the way that they are posing makes some critics question her work. Pictures tell a lot but can be misread between the person behind the camera and the one that see’s the photograph. (p. 229) She looks at her pictures and see’s her children’s innocence while others see it in a sexual way with her children’s poses and gazes. (p. 229) The critics against her work think that it is bad to expose her children in that manner. Mary Gordon does not like Sally Mann’s photo of “The Perfect Tomato”, Gordon thinks that Mann staged the photo, she thinks that all Mann’s photos are always structured and that her children are posing through her commands. Erzegovesi's article “Eating Disorders” is about eating disorders or, according to the author, "Feeding and Eating Disorders." Erzegovesi goes into detail on some eating disorders, such as bulimia and anorexia, defining all the consequences, how they're diagnosed, the cures, etc. Being aware of the consequences of eating disorders is very helpful and informative. The author talked about the dangers of eating disorders to make people aware of what someone could get into, or the person could already be going through a disorder. This article will be helpful due to the information given on how to cure eating disorders.

Libraries have been around for centuries, serving as places of wonder for children and as quiet sanctuaries for adults. The age of technology, however, has been quite detrimental for these places; shelves of books have been replaced by screens, and librarians have been replaced by search engines. There are some who wholeheartedly wish to preserve libraries, and the author of this article is one. Zadie Smith argues for the conservation of libraries and, throughout the writing, utilizes many literary devices to support and strengthen her claims.
After reading the article by Vayena, a point made by Cathleen Kaveny stood out to me as being a valid argument to why DTC testing could be problematic to the average person’s level of education. She claims that this testing could present, “serious difficulties (for ordinary DTC customers) when engaging in probabilistic reasoning” (Vayena, 312). The difficulties they endure can, “lead them to make harmful decisions” (Vayena, 312). I agree with Kaveny because the majority of people who have this testing done will have an insufficient amount of education to interpret the results properly. This could lead them into making certain decisions such as for example whether to conceive a child or not because of the probability of their child inheriting a disorder

Well Pedro, Li, Tyler and I went to the Erin Gruwell event for extra credit. The event was an okay event because it really help my out understanding the movie from erin Gruwell point of view and this help me out in finishing my essay. I got many ideas thanks to this event and it made me see the true understanding and the true version of the movie not only the Hollywood point of vi=ew with those actors. For example she said “the Power of words, help and destroy students” there was no hope for them because they told that they where dumb and that they where not going to succeed in life. They belive what they where told thanks to the power of words those words derstroy the students. That why they really didn’t like going to school or even try in school because they knoe they wherent going to do anything because they had no support.
Eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness; 24 million people of all ages and genders suffer from eating disorders and only 1 in 10 of those 24 million are treated (ANAD). Eating disorders do not discriminate; all ages, genders, ethnicities and races can be victim to this mental illness. It’s important to be aware of the impact eating disorders have on societies across the globe and how the media plays a role if we want to fight the source and promote prevention and/or rehabilitation. I’ve known many people in my life who have some sort of eating disorder, whether it’s anorexia(not eating enough), binge eating(eating large amounts of food rapidly), bulimia (throwing up their food) or just struggling with an unsatisfying self-image. Becoming aware of eating disorders and how they are developed is important to me because in a perfect world, I would like to see this illness become less common or diminished completely among those that I love and anyone else in today’s society. Eating disorders hit home for many people, including myself. Raising awareness may decrease the rate of eating disorders by informing the population of the harm this illness causes and hopefully promote prevention and/or rehabilitation. With the 3 theoretical approaches used by sociologists, Eating disorders can be understood which will better inform society on how to raise awareness, prevent this illness and help those who suffer from eating disorders.
