Jack the Ripper murdered five women between the time of 31st of August 1888 and the 9th of November 1888. They were murdered within Whitechapel and Spitalfields in the East End areas of London, England. He was never caught, and because he was not there are hundreds on his personality and motives. There has been no other killers in the British history that rivaled the gruesome, disrespectful, utterly superior Jack the Ripper, a multiple murderer whose arrogance and self-assurance defied the entire police department within London and held in a great terror in a great city for as long as he cared to roam its streets and slay at will. Mary Ann Nichols, was 42, she was the first of the Ripper victims, according to dedicated Ripperologists. Her body was found on Bucks Row by a touring policeman at 3:15 a.m. on August 31st 1888. Jack the Ripper had slashed her throat twice, and her abdomen had been ripped open exposing the intestines. Her vaginal area had been severely mutilated. The woman was approximately five feet two inches tall with light brown hair, brownish eyes, and a lot of missing teeth. Mary Ann Nichols had always had a drinking problem and exhausted most of her life making her profits as a prostitute. She was a miserable, impoverished woman, but one that most people enjoyed but also pitied. Annie Chapman, “Dark Annie”, was a 47 year old homeless prostitute. Suffering from depression and an alcoholic, she mainly sold flowers. Eventually she turned to prostitution despite her basic features such as missing teeth and round figure. She was found murdered on Saturday, September 8, 1888. Her throat was severed and she was very mutilated. Her abdomens had been ripped open and the intestines had been detached and placed on... ... middle of paper ... ... prime suspect such as he was single at the time of the murders which meant he had the freedom to wander the streets, he was very violent with women and committed multiple murders of them. The last suspect Montague John Druitt was born in 1857 in Dorset, his father was a surgeon. Montague had graduated with a degree in classics and then began to teach at a boarding school. Later in 1885 his father died and then in a couple of years his mother was institutionalized for depression and paranoid delusions. His family always had a very bad history of depression and suicide. His body was later found floating in the Thames River in December 1888, after he had been fired from his job in November. He did leave a suicide note, which was found by his brother that expressed a fear that he thought he was going to end up like his mother and that it was best for him to die.
