While some may say that Abraham Lincoln or George Washington was the most effective president, there is proof otherwise. JFK has done many important things to say that he was the most effective president. For example, he has changed America’s viewpoints on segregation and equality for African Americans, he has signed many petitions to help discrimination, but after his assassination in 1963 he is still viewed as JFK was the a good president during his years of presidency because of the way he helped African Americans during the Civil Rights Movement. According to www.biography.com, it explains that, JFK was involved in the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which means he was involved in signing bills and petitions giving, “all Americans the right to be served in facilities which are open to the public—hotels,restaurants, theaters, retail stores, and similar establishments", as well as "greater protection for the right to vote.” This shows that he was a big part The Civil Rights Act in signing petitions because he tried to make facilities public to everyone. This also shows that just because this civil rights act took place after his death, it doesn’t mean that he wasn’t trying or at least involved in signing petitions to help facilities become public to everyone.
