Is girls’ compensated dating harm, exploitation or private gratification? In 2008, a teenage girl, who involved with compensated dating (CD), was killed by one of her clients(杜法祖,2013). The murder immediately evokes a strong repercussion and the society started to pay attention to compensated dating issue. Compensated dating is a term derived from Japanese (enjo-kosai), originally refers to girls promising to date men; It may consist dating activities such as having dinner and watching movies; Sex is not necessary involved in the process, and girls would have received material comforts in return (Li, 2013). Since CD girls would charge according to their activities price list, the price list became the embodiment of the self-objectification. In the feminist view, prostitution involved two parties: buyer (men) and object (women) (Barry, 1995). Men are being privileged and powerful while women is an object to fulfill men’s desire(Barry, 1995). Girls who engaged in CD often found to have depression, infection and other threats such as exposure to personal information. The recover from illnesses and protect privacy cost more than few hundreds and thousands that gain from CD. A Japanese teenage girl published a memoir of how she started the path to CD when she was sixteen-year-old. In the memoirs, she said that the money gain from CD will be gone in no time, but things that she lost from CD will never come back. She spends every moment of her life feeling sorry and the memory of CD kept haunting her; every time she tries to forget she felt like losing a piece of her soul (何志安, 2010).
