A Worthwhile Investment Is college really worth the money? As the cost of college continues to rise and jobs become harder to get, this is a question students are asking. While being admitted into a good college is a great start, the student needs to be creative, talented, and most importantly motivated in order to make the cost of college worth the money. In the future, the education received from college will be very beneficial to students in many ways that will help them be more successful in the future. College is a great place to help students explore what they want to do in the future and experience new things. College allows people to undergo an atmosphere that is one step closer to the real world. According to The University of North Texas, “You’ll be able to pursue your own interest through extracurricular activities and perhaps discover a career direction that you’ve never considered.” During the completion of these explorations, some become aware of which path they should follow instantly. For others however, college may only be the beginning of their explorations. Nevertheless, these students will leave college with a positive consequence of having a stronger understanding of what they want to do in life and what type of person they are. Likewise, high school graduates earn $1.2 million in life earnings juxtaposed to $2.1 million if you earn a bachelor’s degree.
