To conquer and to invade the privacy, freedom, and liberty of one country or state is inexcusable and groundless. Irredentist movements are never justified. Irredentism is the advocating annexation of states and territories done by another state on the grounds of shared culture or previous historical possession. Such movements are the roots of all conflict and calamity. It is extremely intolerable to lose complete independence, recourses, and the ability to defend rights.
Liberty is the mother of goodness and virtue, and “independence is happiness.” All independent countries and territories have the right to fight for their recourses, especially oil. The Gulf war between Iraq and Kuwait has involved the demanding of annexation of Kuwait’s land to Iraq, declaring it as Iraqi territory. This claim was an excuse to get hold of Kuwait’s sufficient and plentiful amount of oil and recourses. On August 2, 1990 at 2:00am, Iraq secretly commenced an invasion of Kuwait. The state of Kuwait was forcefully annexed, and in a few days Saddam Hussein has proclaimed that it was the nineteenth province of Iraq. Immoral and uncivilized battles have emerged between the two political parties, as well as the loss of innocent and blameless souls. The invaders caused so much destruction to the state's groundwork and infrastructure, and the burgling of homes was widespread. Iraqi soldiers attempted to change all Kuwaiti car license plates to Iraqi ones. Above all, the Iraqi’s treatment to the Kuwaitis was ruthless and merciless. Iraqi troops held thousands of citizens who were questioned in an uncivilized manner. There were also numerous incidents of murders and rape. Kuwait fought blood and tears for their land, oil, and their freedom. ...

It is mandatory for to accept the nature of irredentist predispositions, and try to form methods and tactics to handle or resolve conflicts that they have created and will create later on in the future. To lose complete independence, resources, and the ability to defend rights is extremely inexcusable. In almost every part of the world numerous cultural and ethnic factions live together, and therefore it is almost unmanageable to draw a series of boundaries that encircles people from only one ethnic group. In addition, it is tremendously hard to integrate everyone who is unalike with a leading ethnic group. Irredentism always has an irritating effect on minority or majority struggles. By developing common distrust and animosity, it regularly causes violence, and occasionally, even war.
A current example of this would be the ongoing Darfur genocide. Sudanese troops and Arab Janjaweed militia have been accused of causing the deaths of more than 250,000 ethnic Fur, Masala, and Zhagwa in the Darfur region of Sudan. While religious factors have been cited as part of a reason for this conflict, one of the main factors of the genocide reside in the Arab desire to settle people of their own ethnicity and religion in areas currently occupied by largely Christian ethnic groups. The Arab-controlled government of Sudan has been accused of practicing Arab-apartheid, favoring their own people over the other non-Arab groups of Sudan. In doing so, many ethnic Arab Sudanese may now believe that they are the superior ethnic group in Sudan, leading them to think that such atrocities are acceptable or necessary for the establishment of a purely Arab territory in Darfur - a way of thinking that is on the verge of exploding into extreme nationalism. By attempting to take over the Darfur region by force and eliminating those who may pose a threat or oppose this scheme, Arab peoples in Sudan are putting the effects of extreme nationalism into their actions. Nativism is the extreme opposition of a minority based on the majority’s perception of the minority being foreign and endangering their way of life. Since before the 19th century all the way to today 's modern age, the world has been torn apart by countless wars and invasions, each more brutal and bloody than the last. These conflicts appear at first glance to break out at random, with seemingly nothing to connect them all together. History, however, requires individuals to seek to learn from past mistakes and find a way to avoid them in the future. This principle has inspired historians all across the world to search for a common factor amidst the chaos, a theme per se. The answer to their musings, the theme they are looking for, is ethnocentrism. Ethnocentrism, as demonstrated in Africa,the Middle East, and Southern Asia, is the root cause of the majority of the conflict that has commenced since the 19th century and continues to this present day.
The struggle to balance our many diversities with unity and, at least some tolerance and cooperation, has been one long battle between mankind and itself. Often, it seems almost eternal, a flame that cannot be extinguished unless all its kindling is dunked in some eye-opening truth and acceptance. Today, as much as any other day in history we experience these acts against each other: as impactful as Russia and Ukraine or the conflicts between Israeli and Palestinian people or as silly as Brazil and Argentina’s famous football rivalry. More industrialized countries/societies, particularly western societies, can obtain a certain superiority complex. Ethnocentrism plays a role in this; in a large amount of cases the “inferior cultures” lacked something like stronger military forces and technological advances, or even a disadvantage caused by the local geography that was dubbed weaker than their opponents.
The minority rights in a democratic society appear to even out with the majority rule in an unusual way. There are some incidents where the minority may have loss, but on the other hand won. For example, when Rosa Parks didn’t give up her seat on that hot Alabama day, she stood up to the majority tyranny. The majority won by putting her in jail, however; the minority prevailed by establishing the civil rights movements.

“Learn to feel beyond yourself” (Earthlings). Oppression seems inevitable and is brought upon by your sex, race, or species. If only the human race could stop being selfish and feel beyond themselves, the world would be a better place. Oppression is not an ultramodern problem; it has been around since the Earth began to be inhabited. Oppression in India from foreign countries began centuries ago, now only the lasting impression sits. In Surat in 1612, the British built its first factory and founded the East India Company. As a result, many people of India encountered numerous hardships due to industrialization. Before the British conquered Indian lands, the Indians were farming and not technologically advanced. Until 1858, the East India Company quelled any Indian revolts and prolonged the rule of the British. The Indians were forced to acculturate to the English language, education system, religion, and controlling rules. A sepoy mutiny that broke out in 1857 to 1858 led the British to be directly in charge of the people. Sepoys were Indians with authority, but British puppets—meaning the Indian sepoys did anything the British demanded. India was granted self-rule and government in 1935 with the help of Gandhi, a peaceful leader who gained India’s independence, and his method of non-violence and non-cooperation. They did not gain their full independence until 1947 (Infoplease). The joy of the Indians did not linger long enough because the Muslims segregated and moved to their own country Pakistan (Infoplease).
