I tend to be quite critical of other speakers. Much of what I write is about what he or she has done wrong. Not for this journal! I would like to talk about a student that I thought did an excellent job on the informative speech. That speech was a huge improvement from anything thus far. There is one reason I would like to pinpoint, level of preparation. The student I am talking about is Steve. I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did he create notes but he also referred to them. He did not require much reference to his notes because he practiced or maybe thought a lot about what he would do and say. Steve walked to the front with notes.
