Why do people think Pit bulls are a bad breed? There are tons of facts about the breed. There’s also some good history about the breed. Where did he pit bull breed come from? Why did the Pitbull get the nickname the nanny dog? Did the breed help in battles? What are some reason they don’t allow this breed in certain towns? Why ban the breed? Pit bulls have great characteristics for the dog. This breed has a good nature. So here are some facts about the breed.
How did this breed come to be? Well the Pitbull was formed by breeding bull dogs and terriers to produce the dog with agility of the terrier and the strength of the bulldog. The dog they produced was made for bull baiting, bear baiting and cock fighting. Which are all blood sports from 1835. But in the 20th century they used the dog breed for hunting, driving livestock and family companions. The breed successfully fill the role as companion dogs, police dogs and therapy dogs.
