In this world that we live in today, there is an immense rush to do everything and to do it quickly with vigor and energy like never before. Want to know why? I’ll tell you “Energy Drinks”. The New American Webster’s Handy College Dictionary (fourth edition) (webster). does not have a meaning for the drink, but Wikipedia says it is any of various types of beverages that are considered a source of energy, especially a soft drink containing a high percentage of sugar and/or caffeine or other stimulant. Red Bull was founded by Dietrich Mateshitz in the mid-1980s and was brought to market in 1989 in Austria (energy drinks, soft drinks, and substance use) (health blog, 2014). When used occasionally, energy drinks are not necessarily bad for you, but they should not be seen as “natural alternatives” either. Some claim that the drink makes them have improved performance and concentration, but this claim can be misleading. They are marketed as dietary supplements, and the FDA does not approve or review the products before they are sold.
The use of energy drinks and alcohol has become the normal way to drink it. The energy drinks are known as mixers with the alcohol. This combination carries a number of potential dangers. The stimulant effect of the energy drink mixed with the depressant effect of the alcohol is bad because the stimulant will not allow you to be aware of how much liquor you have consumed. Fatigue is one way of knowing, but the alcohol stops that. As it wears off, the alcohol is still there which causes vomiting in your sleep and or respiratory depression. (www.brown.edu,
