Water for Life is a poignant title. It symbolizes not just that no one can survive without safe drinking-water.
Every living thing requires water for their health. Supply of clean, safe and potable drinking water to the community is utmost important in maintaining positive health measures. The drinking water must be free from fecal microorganisms. Water is, in fact, one of the medium for the transfer of many verity of disease of microbial origin. In the world many peoples arer suffer from water borne diseases. Water receives microorganisms from air, sewage, soil and other organic wastes. Fecal pollution of water leads to introduction of variety of intestinal pathogens that causes water borne diseases (Jacobson and Lan, 1988)

A number of diseases transmitted by introduction of fecal matter into public water supply triggering rapidly spreading water borne illness. Due to the transmission of pathogens indicating public health danger due to the outbreaks of the life threating diseases such as cholera, typhoid, dengue fever, dysentery (WHO, 2005). in different ways at different ages, access to adequate water and sanitation services influences everybody’s health, education, life expectancy, well-being and social development. That is the theme of my project Based on statistics and paramiters, we compare and contrast the with very different levels of water and sanitation services in differen thostels . Case studies illustrate how actions by governments,semigoverment ,private,NGO,working people,goverment collage hostel and semigoverment have transformed the lives of millions.
Interventions in hygiene, sanitation, and water supply make proven contributors to controlling this disease burden. Improving access to safe drinking water can result in tangible improvements to health. Detection of water quality by H2S Method and Eijkman Methods: Blacking in H2S medium was recorded after 24 , 48 and 72 h of incubation at RT (room temperature) and at 37°C is positive test. Only MPN positive water samples were further inoculated for Eijkman test in BGLB (Brilliant Green Lactose Bile) medium at 44.5°C for 24 h and positive results were recorded as gas in BGLB and indole positive at 44.5°C (APHA 2012). ABSTRACT: Water samples from local ponds and lakes and snow runoff were collected and tested for coliform as well as Escherichia coli. Humans as well as animals come into contact with these areas, some are used for recreational activities such as swimming and some are a source of drinking water for both animals and humans The main goal of this experiment was to see which lakes, snow run off and ponds tested positive for coliform or Escherichia coli and to come up with some reasoning as to why. It was found that the more remote pond with less contact contained the most Escherichia coli. However, another lake that many swim in and use as their drinking water indeed tested positive for a small amount of Escherichia coli. The two samples from the snow showed negative results for both coliform and Escherichia coli and the two more public ponds that aren’t as commonly used as a source of human drinking water but animal drinking water tested in the higher range for coliforms but in the little to no Escherichia coli range. It was concluded that the remote pond should be avoided as it’s not a safe source of drinking water for humans or animals. Other than that, the the other ponds are likely to be safe from Escherichia coli, but coliforms are a risk factor.

It might be easier to live a healthy life for many people, but for others it can be very challenging. I have tried to be healthy so many times, but I always fell off the wagon. For many days I would “feel” healthy, but in reality I was not the healthiest person mentally or physically. I knew that I had to change my behavior, and become healthier (or at least almost healthy) if I wanted to live a longer life. Water is one of the most essential non-renewable natural resources on the Earth. Technically, an un-hydrated human being can live no more than three days. In the United States, people consume water mainly from tap water and bottle water. However, the consumption between these two sources is not even but lean to one side heavily. According to the Natural Resources Defense Council, people consume from 240 to over 10000 times more per gallon for bottled water than they usually do for tap water. (NRDC) In addition, according to a survey from US National Library of Medicines, only 17% of the participants prefer to drink tap water exclusively.(US National Library) Compared to the bottled water which is shining like a superstar, tap water is like a diligent worker in the shade, unpopular but useful. The extremely unbalance of bottled water consumption implies that a commonly hold conception exists: bottle water is superior to tap water. In fact, scientific evidence proves that tap water is nothing different than bottle water. More importantly, the excessive consumption of bottled water is an irrational use of resources and creates severe environmental issues.
Less than 1% of the water supply on earth can be used as drinking water.
