Pakistan has tremendous potential for tourism by virtue of its long rich history, cultural diversity, geo-strategic position and captivating landscapes that stretches from the high Himalayas, Karakorum’s and the Hindu Kush ranges with their alpine meadows and permanent snow line , coniferous forests down the sub mountain scrub in the north ,attracting those interested in winter sports. The north part of Pakistan has many old fortresses, ancient architecture and the Hunza and Chitral valley, home to small pre-Islamic Animist Kalash people community. To the south Pakistan has vast alluvial delta of the Indus plain, merging in to the great desert, the coast line and wet lands. Pakistan remains ta land of high adventure and nature. The country's attraction range from the ruin of the Indus Valley Civilization such as Mohenjo-Daro, Harappa and Taxila, to the Himalayan hill stations.
