The book is written by three authors, Martin Mowforth, Clive Charlton and Ian Munt. Martin Mowforth is a part timer lecturer while Clive Charlton is a principal lecturer and helps to solve the problems of environment, transport, tourism and development. Ian Munt is a consultant and worked on various types of projects over the world. The book is published on year 2008, with the title of “Tourism and Responsibility” which focuses on the nature, ecotourism and ‘sustainability’ upon the recognition of the social dimension of tourism. Besides, the book mentioned the responsibility and the activities occurred in Latin America and Caribbean. From the book, Chapter two and three provide the level of responsibility. Authors briefly discussed the tendency of the growth for the historical development and the effects of the tourism through the general form of economic development in LAC countries. In Chapter three, the authors talk about the poverty in LAC countries and the definition of local participation in the growth of the tourism. The word ‘participation’ becomes a popular word that the reports or projects could not complete without it. However, according to Jules Pretty’s typology, participation has different view according to different people. Analysts and students are importance to the exploitation of the tourism by reviewing the concept of participation rather than to accept the use of participation in any development project without hesitation (Mowforth, Charlton and Munt. 2008, 95) while Chapter four describe the differences between the tourism and the environment in the LAC countries which includes the problems of sustainability and related techniques of ecological foot printing and carbon budget calculations which targeted to the tourism …show more content…

Urban society not just a simple traditional visiting of cultural events but it is an apparent of guided tours throughout favelas and shenties which is characterized by poverty and crime. It does represent a less importance in the industry of tourism. Urban tourism is rational that the recently and responsible use of the forms of tourism preference in community-based rural tourism and pro-poor developments towards a tendency of centralizing on rural-based tourism entirely.
