After we discuss the Manager’s Functions and Roles in the modern organization, the next topic we discuss is the important managerial activities of an effective manager. What is the managerial activity? According from the Masum Mahmud, it’s mean as the manager should make sure the organization can meets the company objective itself. Besides that, manager should also participates several of activities, power of authority, and follow the rules and laws. Then management activities include set the aim or objectives, monitoring works, review results, ability to take the action when incorrect and provide the environment that has the positive atmosphere and motivations. The Human Resources Management activity includes the motivating, disciplining, managing conflict, staffing and training. In the contribution for effective manager, 26% of time performing he or she was used. For example, the human resource manager should be seized on how to encourage, be awareness, negotiate the conflict, staffing and training those new employees or staffs. Then, the last of the managerial activity is the Networking activity. The manager should know on how to socializing, politicking, and interact with outsiders. This managerial activity made the least relative contribution on the effective manager, which is only spend 11% of he or she time performing. For example, the manager should be responsible to have good relationship with clients, know about latest politicking, and commitment well with the social media or the shareholders. It is make sure the projects will processing smoothly and prevent disturb by outsiders, such as social media. After we know the effective manager who engaged 4 types of managerial activities at the same time, lets discuss about how important effective manager in the organization culture or in the company. Mostly, the Traditional Management activity made the most of time performing (32%) while the Networking activity is the least of time performing (19%). Then, the Communication and the Human Resource Management activities time performing are 29% and 20%. You can know that the average manager spend their time on making the decision, controlling and planning the project to reach the good deal with the client. The next type of manager is successful manager. According to the text book, successful manager is manager who he or she focuses on “speed of promotion within their organization”. The contributions of the managerial activity time performing for the successful manager are Traditional Management (13%), Communications (28%), Human Resource Management (11%) and the Networking (48%). According to the contributions for successful manager, we can conclude that he or she usually doing their job faster to meets the objective or aim quickly. This manager also well in negotiates with the outsiders. Compare with those two types of the manager, the effective manager are the most effectively. It’s because the effective manager use the Communication activity commitment to employees. The 44% for Communication time performing made by effective manager clearly to shows that this type of the manager usually is care, patient and seriously doing the jobs with the employees
