What is a friend? According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, “One attached to another by affection or esteem; a person who has a strong liking for and trust in another.” This interpretation of a friend is superb. A true friend is trustworthy, loyal, and honest. This term is unique because the individual labeled as a friend hold a noteworthy status in someone’s heart. The emotions and personal regard for this individual, move someone to establish a long-lasting relationship. A friend is not a foe or nemesis. Someone who constantly causes turmoil and make oneself feel unworthy, is no friend. Distancing oneself from this association is wise. The role of a friend is vital in every person’s life. No one can survive this chaotic world without a companion To be a friend, you need to be self-less and eager to work out the two-way relationship. A friend is not some acquaintance you are “friendly” with, or a person added to your hundreds of “friends” on social media. A friend is a person one has a real-life connection with. A soul that is visible in mind and body. A friend is an individual who is attached to another by mutual affection, who will ride the roller coaster of life alongside someone. A friend is honest and will express their true emotions in a tactful manner. Truth can hurt, but the value of knowledge is worth much more than being hidden from the truth. Being aware of relevant information and life-changing knowledge, is more important than living blindly. A common phrase used all around the world is “Honesty is the best policy.” How true that statement is!? Knowing accurate information, in addition to “the real story” can in fact, strengthen A loyal friend has true devotion for an individual. Their devotion moves them to completely trust that the individual will succeed in standing by their side. Loyal friends are a treasure to be cherished. When found hold them dear because not many will come across. A true friend is one of the most valuable persons who will ever be apart of a person’s lifetime. An honest friend will look out for your, best interests and tell you (maybe replace with partner or friend ) the truth even when it hurts.
