It is not enough just to think, everyone needs to think clearly, because this has a great effect on you, others, and the course of events. Everyone is thinking in his/her own way, on the basis of his/her knowledge, experience and values. Thinking is everyone’s job, which must be done properly. Critical thinking welcomes different points of view, helps to see the situation from all sides and to solve the problem in the best way. Critical and creative thinking is a core thing in the Army, which is very useful and significant for proper decision making and successful performing of duties. The main skill needed by leaders is the ability to recognize the problem early and to solve it effectively. The leaders at all levels solve different problems every day. Problems are well-structured, medium-structured and ill-structured; they can be large-scale and can impact the life quality of many members inside and outside the Army. So the problem solving process and the elements of thought must be used comprehensively to achieve the best results. Leaders in the Army are responsible for daily routine, preparing orders, planning operations, subordinates‘ behavior, their promotions and awards. In addition to this, leaders must provide information to their unit members why such solutions were made, why such way of problem solving was chosen, what circumstances boosted such decisions, how it applies to subordinates‘ duties. Therefore, communication giving clear information transfers thoughts, broadens horizons and reaches better outcomes. The officer must show and teach the subordinates how to solve problems using all possible methods. It is important that the officers know how to solve problems and make effective decisions, taking into account different education, culture and background of people. Also, the leaders must be able to evaluate the situations very fast, reject unnecessary information, select courses of actions, predict the development of events and the consequences of a decision.
