When you think about the bible the first thing that comes to mind is Tenth Commandments. There are over six hundred rules in the bible, but God narrowed them down to twenty, but one of the apostles lost half of them so there is now only ten that we must abide by just to get into the Gates of Heaven. If there were twenty commandants, we would have a problem trying to get into the gates due to the fact most of us do not follow the ten we have now. Most people complain about the rules he set before us, but they should not due to the fact that if we follow the Ten Commandments we will live in an eternal life and the ones who do not follow them with burn for eternity.
On the top of the mountains Jesus gave the Apostle Moses the commandments. The first commandment he read was “Thou shall have no other Gods before me.” It is weird that the first commandment is that but, if you think and look closely at it is test of your loyalty to God. He wants you to praise and worship God and only God. That is how we show our appreciation by praising only God and God alone, he is alone is the God. Buddha or Allah should not stop people from worshipping God. That is what the First Commandment is trying to get across to people that do not believe in or worship God.
The second commandment is “Thou shall not make any graven image”. It talks about worshiping or how to worship. God is jealous when we show our love to someone else and does not want anyone else to have it. This commandment is a reminder that we are made in the image of God. Christ is a perfect spiritual image that came from our Heavenly Father and only we can transform ourselves into a spiritual image. God wants everyone to tell the truth even if the truth will hurt someone you care about or for.
The tenth and final commandment, “Thou shall not covet”. Covet basically means to crave or have the desire for something you want. This commandment states is not saying if we desire something is wrong. Covet is when you want or longing for something that is not rightfully yours. You are longing for something that you might not initially deserve. Does not always means it is wrong it could be for the best. Do not look down on yourself or put yourself down if someone has the thing you want we should actually contribute and be proud of that people for being blessed, and hope that one day you can receive the same treatment or better treatment.
