The video, “Humans Need Not Apply”, basically discussed, over time robots replace humans in the workforce because robots are cheaper than humans. In the video it talks about how the advance of technology will open doors for businesses to have robots work for them. In the end robots would be cheaper for employers because they would not have to pay them minimum wage or pay for mistakes or errors humans make. The video “Humans Need Not Apply”, explains, robots are already being used in the work field as well as how robots do not make as many mistakes as humans do which saves businesses money. If it means employing less humans and employing more robots businesses will take the opportunity. The video explained robots do not make as many mistakes as human, they can also do more work and businesses do not have to pay robots minimum wage. Robots may sound like a great idea, but it is questionable on how robots will affect the government as well as the economy. In the market and work field cheaper labor is appealing especially for the employers because they make more money however, it is questionable on what would happen to the economy. One of the compelling arguments made in the video was the advance of technology starting from the automobile taking the place of horses. Robots may be able to work long with less mistakes, but there are jobs like teacher, counselling where human emotion is need and robots cannot provide those kinds of emotions.
