Ever since I was little I was very intrigued with computers, it was always a mystery for me to think such a tiny box can do all these processes and then show on a screen. When I was about 10 years old my interest sparked greatly; I wanted to learn more about computers and how they work so, I went on YouTube and looked up how to build a computer. The video was very bad but I was glued to it. As the time past I learned more and more about computers and I started to love it. By the time I reached high school I knew how to build a computer but never had any real experience building one. luckily my school gave us a chance to take a computer class so i could have some hands on experience. When I was growing up in Indonesia, computers were very expensive and it was very hard to get personal access to them. However, this all changed in the United States and I was lucky enough to get one. At first, my dad got one for work and that is where my passion started. I was fascinated about how it turned on or how it stored files. My curiosity only expanded and I wanted to figure out how everything works. Finally in fifth grade, I got my dad’s old computer, which I dismantled in a few days. At first, he was angry because the computer would not work anymore but he then realized how much time I spent working on it. Soon after, my parents realized my passion for computers and they bought me a new computer. I began to work on it the first day and a few days later, I discovered how video games were created. In middle school, my friends and I created a game based on Pokemon, something that we all remembered from our childhood. After school, we would meet up at my friend’s garage and we would work until the sun came down. We wanted this game to work and we did all we could to make it a success. We sacrificed our parents’ money and valuable time but after 14 months of working, the hard work had paid off and the game was finally done. I work very well with people and it shows in the game we published, I may have had some disagreements but I did not let that stop myself

Now you should be able to build a computer with your eyes closed and your hands behind your back. Since my childhood, creating and exploring has been my passion. During that period, computer was not a very common subject. May be, this was the reason, why I got attracted towards computers. I learnt computer techniques and operations, all by myself. As a child, I loved spending time on Desktop, exploring, which action performs what function. Sitting in front of my computer around 10 years ago, I was contemplating on a question asked by my teacher in a weekly class quiz, “How computer works”. She gave us one day to give an answer. The desire in me made me to work harder to come first in that quiz. It made me realize that the concept of computers well exceeds the answer for the question asked. A small seed sowed in the form of a question by

The first time I laid my hands on a Computer was when I was nine years old at school. I mostly used the computer to play games back then. I enjoyed playing games on a computer more than on other consoles. I got my first taste of programming when I was fifteen. I was curious about what my sister learns in college then and asked her to give me a glimpse of what she learns in college. She showed me the simple Hello World program. I could not really understand what each line of the code meant. I was not even aware of all the different scenarios where computer programming could be used.
Walking down the hallway to computer class excited me and made me a little anxious. The world of technology was slowly opening up to me. It was the year I took my first computer class. I learned how to push a button to start the computer, open up a program, and type. It was interesting, but my fear that I would accidentally hit the wrong key and make the computer crash overshadowed my ability to enjoy it. I would have to learn to conquer that fear, as digital technology became a part of my every-day life.
It was a magical moment for me when I got my first computer from my uncle. It was a big black & white Window’s 95 OS where I played my very first computer game, Dave. The moment I touched the keyboard, an urge to learn more about computers began and has not ceased ever since.

When I go back in time, the images that make the fondest memories of my childhood are primarily the ones related to computers. While I was growing up, I spent a good amount of time learning new things about computers through whatever source I could. What started as a leisure pursuit soon turned into passion, and when the time came to choose my subject for pre-university, computer was my first choice. I studied technology and hardware workshop, computer networks, information bank, operating system, physics, mathematics along with programming languages, software packages like word, excel, access, power point, Snagit etc.
From an early age, I have always been deeply interested in computing. Also, more than all other activities. Maybe because I was having computer from my childhood and I always try to invent and learn something new in that. It all started when my grandparents purchased their first computer. Being as this was the first computer I had ever used, I did not know how to use it very well. I mostly used it for games, which my grandma would set up for me to play. I also drew pictures with the computer's paint program, the functionality of which, unfortunately, was very limited. The relatively new computer industry's technology could not produce enough colors to portray very realistic pictures. Despite this fact, I spent many contented hours creating images on my grandparent's computer.
