Letter of Entry into the Master´s of Computer Science

It was a magical moment for me when I got my first computer from my uncle. It was a big black & white Window’s 95 OS where I played my very first computer game, Dave. The moment I touched the keyboard, an urge to learn more about computers began and has not ceased ever since.

Hence I decided to pursue Information Technology as a specialization for my graduation. It provided me with a strong and comprehensive background in computers. During my undergraduate studies, I learned subjects like C, C++, Java and DBMS as a part of the curriculum and thus, became proficient in programming languages to such a level that I started creating my own games in C++. During this learning process, I realized the importance of design and User Interface and so, I started taking more interest in graphics. I designed various visiting cards, web templates using Photoshop. I extended these acquired skills while designing all the marketing materials as well as leading the designing team for an inter-college technical symposium.

When introduced to the field of Computer Networks and Information Security via academics and workshops, I learned about different exploit attacks as well as their precautionary methods. I applied this knowledge to develop the website for a college event. This website allowed the participants as well as visitors to obtain details regarding various event activities as well as register themselves. I also filtered blind SQL Injections that helped avoid dummy registrations using cross site scripting.

Moreover, I was fortunate to get an opportunity to work on an International Project during our academic tenure. It was a collaborative initiative between my college and US based company called Ativio. We developed a tourism portal for Indi...

...g about computers within me is heading north and it has become a vital part of my life now. In Particular, I want to make my career into application development. And a stepping stone to it is to pursue a Master’s degree in Computer Science from your prestigious university. Your Artificial intelligence, data mining subject has appealed me highly and I really look forward to learn the maximum out of it and utilize this knowledge in my work.
