The technological advancements made in the world are very impressive. Not only have devices such as computers and phones been invented, but they continue to get better. One of the questions currently being asked, however, is if technology has had a positive or negative impact on people's lives. While many argue that technology has weakened human interactions, it has positively affected people's lives because it provides easy access to information, saves money, and improves communication. Technology also provides a way to find answers to questions much faster. When a student was working on a research project before the Internet, they would have to spend days at a library trying to find sources for their project. Now, technology and the Internet has made it possible for libraries and colleges to create online databases so that students can find books, articles, videos, etc, without having to spend long hours searching at a library. Another way technology has improved people's lives is by making many videos available to stream. Teachers can now use YouTube to easily find educational videos for their classes. These videos act as a visual aide and the streaming sites make it so that the video can simply be streamed from the computer instead of finding the actual disc or tape and setting it up for a class. Along with providing people with easy access, technology also helps people save money. One of the sneakiest fees in college is the price of textbooks. However, many publishers have created an online version of their books and students can download them instead of buying them in a store. These books are less expensive because they are not printed, and this helps many college students, sometimes even high school students, save money
