The things that we go through in life are ultimately the things that shape us for the future. Taking a look back on your life, you are able to see what bettered you, what brought you down, or what you should have changed. By allowing myself to explore and take on new things, I’ve hit every side of those views. I now can see what has ultimately shaped me into the person I am today.
The things that I will state are things that have helped me to become the person I am today, it is what has allowed me to figure out what to do, and what not to do. I believe strongly, that once you are able to talk about these things, or incidents, you are able to grow and find the positive things in them. The things that I am going to reflect on range from break ups, to changing different schools. It’s things that are so small, or so big, that we really are shaped by.

What they never tell you is why it had to happen to you. There is so much that I have learned from being in psychology. There were many times where I was sitting there in class listening, and suddenly realized, “wow, that’s so me!” There are things that I never would have known about myself if I had never taken that class. I’ve learned to accept the fact that I am not “just another screwed up kid”, as I overheard my first therapist saying about me, but I am just like everybody else. Yes, I may stand in front of the class to give a speech and my heart starts racing and I forget how to use my words, but that’s okay. When you are handed a difficult thing in life, you don’t dwell on it and cry about not being able to change it, you make light of it and accept that there is nothing you can do to change who you are, you can only deal. The summary that five doctors and 3 therapists have given me, has never answered my questions the way that psychology class
