Beowulf is a epic hero in a lot of ways. He is “stronger” than life, and he does not fear death. He was able to fight the monster and kill him with his bare hands. Beowulf was also able to hold his breath for a long period of time to kill Grendel’s mother. Beowulf looked like a normal person, but with muscle and super strength. Beowulf was a courageous person and he was loyal. When he was fighting the monsters he was loyal to the people and kept fighting until the monsters were dead. He made sure the people were safe and they didn’t have to worry about the monsters coming to kill anyone anymore. Beowulf was a noble character because the past of his family. He is also engaging and humane. These good qualities often blind readers to his other traits. He, in my opinion, is a selfish, power hungry, and attention grabbing fool.
